Are PLR Articles Worth Using?

Posted by admin

There has been debate on the net about the value of PLR articles. This stems from the fact that, depending on what membership site you belong to, anywhere from fifty to a few hundred other people could be using the same article. Therefore, most people choose to change them to some extent before they use them. The short answer to whether you should do some rewriting or not is - yes. That was easy, wasn’t it?

The long answer is that the extent to which you have to rewrite is up to you and depends on where your personal comfort level is. The first thing that you will probably want to do is to insert some of the keywords that you’re trying to target into the PLR articles that you choose. Search engines that can find our sites is a recipe for happiness.

After that point, webmasters tend to go in different directions on the matter. Some choose to rewrite a certain percentage of the article. Sixty percent is a popular safe zone for what will be considered unique content. Others rewrite less, and simply choose to add an RSS feed or several to the page in order to give it a steady stream of changing content.

Then we have the extremes of the craft. On one side, there are people who just add their own paragraph to the beginning, a few sentences to the end, and on a particularly energetic day, maybe a line or two in the middle. On the other side of the spectrum, are the ones who use their articles as a base, then go through them, rewriting sentence by sentence.

Which group you fall into will depend on your own personality. Any one of these approaches can work. There is no absolute right or wrong on the matter. My own thoughts on whether private label rights are worth it or not are this - It will always be easier for me to edit and improve something, than it will be for me to try and create. Everyone has to make the decision on their own as to what will be the easiest way for them to go. After all, that is the entire point of doing anything. To figure out the easiest, most productive way to accomplish your goal. Personally, I’ll stick with making good use of PLR articles.
